'Journeyman' Episode 1.06 Spoilers

Halloween is almost upon us, and various television series are gearing up to launch their respective special episodes in line with the upcoming spook-centered holiday. NBC's Journeyman has issued a press release regarding the show's sixth episode, which is slated to air on Monday, October 29.

However, before all the spoilery, here's a little overview of what Journeyman is about for all those who are not so familiar with the show. Journeyman revolves around a San Francisco reporter and family man named Dan Vasser (Kevin McKidd). For some unknown reason, he begins to travel through time and changes people's lives. Along the way, he must also deal with difficulties brought on by his sudden disappearances. To make matters more complicated, he runs into his long-lost fiancée, Livia (Moon Bloodgood) while time traveling.

On Journeyman's special Halloween episode, entitled “Keepers,” Dan's latest trip through time sends him to help two brothers traumatized by the abuse they suffered at their father's hands. Jack (Reed Diamond), Dan's brother who works as a police officer for the San Francisco Police Department begins to suspect that Dan has reverted back to his old gambling habits.

While in the past, Dan and Livia overhear Jack and Katie (Gretchen Egolf), Dan's current wife and Jack's ex-girlfriend, engaging in an intimate conversation.

The episode also has Dan learning a lesson about brotherly love.

Brian Howe, who plays Dan's boss Hugh Skillen, and Charles Henry Wyson, who plays Dan's young son Zack, also star in the episode.

Unfortunately, the spoilers end there, although fans of Journeyman will be happy to know that NBC has ordered three more scripts of the show. Additionally, the first batch of live-plus-seven DVR ratings indicate a notable increase for Journeyman and another NBC series, Bionic Woman, although network Nielsen-crunchers are quick to clarify that such lifts do not necessarily mean that the ailing shows will come back to life.
